The Bulleit Family has very high expectations. The bourbon won't be bottled until it is prepared for consumption. The mash used to create Bulleit Ten-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey contains rye, malted barley, and corn. Following harvest, the grains are mashed and fermented using a yeast that their family created.
After fermentation, the bourbon is distilled in a copper-pot still and then aged for over ten years in American oak barrels. The outcome far surpassed the family's expectations and made a name for itself.
